Position Summary

Studio 1 Catering is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Line Cook to join our culinary team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help prepare, cook, and serve high-quality meals for artists, production crews, and special events.

As a line cook at Studio 1, you’ll do more than just follow recipes—you’ll bring precision, teamwork, and heart to every plate. Working side by side with our chefs and servers, you’ll play a critical role in delivering meals that reflect our commitment to excellence and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Assist chefs with prep, cooking and service for daily meals and events.
  • Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and plating standards consistently.
  • Handle special dietary requests (vegan, gluten-free, allergies, etc.) with care and accuracy.
  • Maintain food safety, quality, and sanitation standards at all times.

Kitchen Operations

  • Keep kitchen and prep areas organized, stocked, and clean throughout service.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating inventory (FIFO).
  • Operate equipment safely and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Jump in where needed—this is a fast-paced, team-first environment.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Work closely with chefs, utility staff, and servers to ensure seamless service.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully in a high-energy, high-volume environment.

Cleanup & Closing

  • Break down and sanitize cooking and prep areas after events.

Position Summary

Studio 1 Catering is seeking hardworking, dependable Utility Team Members to support our fast-paced catering operation. This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role that keeps the kitchen and event spaces running smoothly. Utility staff are responsible for dishwashing, cleaning, equipment setup, and pitching in wherever needed. If you’re reliable, energetic, and take pride in keeping things spotless and organized, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Dishwashing & Cleaning

  • Wash, sanitize, and restock all kitchen and service items (plates, utensils, cookware, etc.).
  • Maintain clean and organized dish, prep, and storage areas throughout service.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards consistently.

Kitchen & Event Support

  • Assist with setup and breakdown of kitchen and service areas.
  • Help move, load, and unload catering equipment, supplies, and product.
  • Take out trash, recycling, and compost; ensure waste areas are clean and orderly.
  • Refill water, ice, and other supplies during events.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with chefs, servers, and managers to keep service flowing smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Captains are the heartbeat of the guest experience—responsible for setting the tone of hospitality, ensuring meals are served with excellence, and creating an atmosphere where every guest feels welcomed and cared for.

Captains act as the on-floor service leads during events—bridging direction from the Manager on Duty to the front-line service team. They supervise servers, assign stations, and ensure that each phase of service flows on time and according to plan.

Key Responsibilities

Event Setup & Execution

  • Set up dining rooms, buffets, and service areas with attention to detail and presentation.
  • Prepare tables, linens, serviceware, and guest spaces according to event specifications.
  • Review event orders and floor plans before each service to confirm setup accuracy.
  • Welcome guests with warmth and provide attentive, family-style service throughout the meal.
  • Deliver food and beverage in coordination with back of house staff.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment before, during, and after events.

Guest Experience

  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly with a positive, can-do attitude.
